WRITING

A few thought pieces, commissions from the BIPOC Critics Lab, original poetry and monologues.

My writing has been commissioned by the National Abortion Campaign in Colombia, the Nobel Women’s Initiative, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, the MADRE Organization, the New Georges Theatre, the New York African Film Festival, and The Public Theater. In 2022, I was a semifinalist in the Decolonization Stories Competition organized by Altertheatre and La Lengua Teatro Español, and a finalist in the Playground Experiment Faces of America Monologue Competition. My short film, Like a Virgin, was awarded the 2022 New Work Grant by the Queens Council of the Arts and was sponsored by Technological Cinevideo Services (TCS) in New York City. I'm a proud alum of the 2020 pilot cohort of the BIPOC Critics Lab of Jose Solis and former moderator of the BIPOC Critics Lab Forum for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Caesura: Poetry and Stories about the Future of Feminist Peace

At the intersection of the artistic and the political, Caesura is a limited engagement podcast rooted in a celebration of women and our common work for peace, freedom, and equality. Caesura was a beautiful project commissioned to me by WILPF in 2021. In this podcast, we dissected some of my original anti-militaristic poetry and interviewed guests from all over the world, exploring topics ranging from feminism to trauma, intergenerational heritage to violence, pop culture to poetry, and much more.
